Only a few months into the IABC brand adoption, and this image makes me very happy.

Since launch of the new IABC brand, it's been wonderful to see the international organization, regions and chapters begin to put the brand guidelines into practice. There's still work to do before our June 2016 adoption deadline, but the early signs are great.

Thanks to those who have gotten out of the gate before everyone else. I look forward to seeing the IABC visual identity come to life on websites and promotional materials through the next few months. More importantly, I am excited about bringing our values: #globalprofession #diversecommunity #createconnection and #insightandresults, to life through words and actions.

Thanks again to @arcasadvertising for delivering a visual identity that allows us to proudly express our diversity while connecting us back to IABC.

This morning, my husband sent me a headline of Sobeys (a Canadian grocery retailer) CEO, Michael Medline, stating that they would not "screw up" their recently-announced acquisition of Farm Boy (a smaller grocery retailer). It's not often that a CEO proactively makes a bold statement like that and I have to admit that I am just a little impressed.
When I started my Communication Career, I never realized there would be so many opportunities to use my skills. As Communication Professionals, we have to understand our stakeholders; educate people about programs and processes; ensure diverse viewpoints are heard; and consult with internal and external partners to help them accomplish their goals.
