This one really resonates with me when it comes to belonging:

The goal is the FEEL a PART of something versus PLAY a PART.

Belonging is a feeling. Belonging is about purpose. Belonging is about contribution. Belonging is about the value you think you can bring , being valued for what you bring, and connecting to the VALUES of an organization because they are in line with your own. Otherwise it feels like you are faking it.
What do you do as communication, HR and business professionals to make people feel like they are a part of something? 
It's nuanced but so true.
